STB Union — on a Mission to Make Finances Convenient for Everyone

STB Union, a major FinTech player, partnered with Yojji to evolve from a traditional currency exchange network into a modern financial marketplace. The project aimed to develop a secure, scalable platform for multi-currency wallets, international transfers, and digital card services, using React JS, React Native, and Java to enhance STB Union’s service offerings and strengthen its position in FinTech.

REQUEST

Develop multicurrency wallets, enable international transfers, and support digital card usage to expand the platform.

CHAllENGE

The platform handled large transaction volumes and strict security requirements. Our responsibility was limited to the frontend layer. We had to design a scalable, secure client-side architecture that correctly reflected complex server-side logic, integrated with legacy systems, and met FinTech compliance standards.

OUR SOLUTION

We built and evolved the frontend in stages. Our team started with international money transfers from Israel through existing operators. As the platform grew, we expanded the interface to support full online banking flows, including multi-currency wallets and VISA debit cards for payments, transfers, and online purchases.

Our solutions

Transition to Web and Mobile Platforms

We have created a full-cycle financial services platform using React JS for responsive web and React Native for mobile applications. This makes STB Union accessible on different devices with a seamless user experience.

Robust Java Backend

We conducted front-end development with a robust Java backend to ensure scalability and efficiency. This foundation allowed the platform to process large volumes of transactions securely and reliably.

Comprehensive User Experience (UX) Research

Thorough UX research into the needs and preferences of users was necessary. This drove our design and development decisions so users find the platform intuitive.

Seamless Integration with Legacy Systems

Integration with legacy systems had to be seamless in view of service continuity and the avoidance of disruptions. This integration allowed STB Union to upgrade to better technology without any loss of functionality or data from their existing systems.

Results

  • 57 months of continuous frontend development and iteration to support long-term platform growth.
  • Multi-currency wallets rolled out, so users can manage several currencies in a single account instead of separate exchange flows.
  • One shared frontend architecture (React + React Native) used across web and mobile to reduce duplicate development and speed up feature delivery.
  • High-load transaction interfaces that handle thousands of concurrent user sessions without client-side performance issues.
  • Step-by-step product expansion, moving from currency exchange to full digital banking without redesigning the client experience.

ValaPay

Vala facilitates direct money transfers between businesses, reducing transaction costs and creating new revenue streams. Our team handled the UI design, revamped the application’s admin panel, and built a mobile version from scratch. Ultimately, we were given full autonomy over project design and development decisions.

Payroll is a $1.2b cloud-based solution that enables companies to manage global payroll, oversee payment cycles, and process direct transfers across countries. They approached us to build this system on their financial and legal infrastructure. Yojji led the frontend development and design and contributed to backend tasks. Within two months, users completed their first payroll transactions, and the platform continued to expand with new features.
